Of course it is partly because we are growing and that more than a few of the new Knights really are engaging themself in what to become of us. Which in turn gets me going. Additionally there are two individuals that really need mentioning; Pilus of Stormwind Militia and Nevar of the Covenant. What they have accomplished are quite remarkable. Whithout their contributions Stormwind would be a much duller place. Not really weatherly, but mentally. Some Knights have gone and some have come this summer. The overall feeling is that there is a small kadre of Knights that are very loyal. Then there is some that leave when they reach levels above 60. Finally there are some that even come back after a tour in some other guild. The over all feeling is that this outfit really works, and the loyal and the coming-backers are the proof of this.
This autumn shall be interesting, because there are so many new faces. Bergman, Spielberg and the rest can send a thought of gratitude towards the ordinary man when they are on location. When we entered the Lions Inn for a shot with two of our actors the respect for the team was very low. Bystanders jumped up and down in the middle of the scene, people where shooting fireworks indoors and a kind of magical effects was filling the inn. It got even worse when we where outside trying to shoot a scene with six mounted knights riding up to the inn. After a while we gave up. What came out of this first session was this...

Precision

Aaah, those details. Right inside my old favourite 3d-landscape modelling package on weed, Bryce 3D. It is still around, but I took out an old dusty way back version and installed it on my computer, it did crash a couple of times but I got at least one picture out of it to show you what I mean. Not the best Bryce picture I've made, but at least a piece of evidence. I also went out to catch a picture of the real Bryce Canyon. Hope the photographer don't mind. Just wanted you to have the opportunity to see that reality is even more 3d, than WoW and Bryce together.

The award ceremony

As I had hoped the award ceremony gathered quite a few Knights and friends. The speach I had prepared in advance worked well. And the orders and medals to 12 Knights and allies brought down cheers, yells and applauds. Not surprised at all I found myself among new and old friends raiding afterward, it got us playing into the wee small hours (as Frankie would have put it). Although the great designers has made it easy for themselves, so that some features resemble other places in form, it has sometimes some almost real (as in IRL) qualities. When you are flying it is easy to start looking. But it is on foot I try to stop and take in what I see.

Todays picture wich is Places of beauty number IV in my serie of landscapes I suddenly saw that the landscape around Loch Modan looks like the landscape I live in. And that it was something in the way the water glittred and the colours in the wood and the mountains that looked very familiar. I stand there looking and sees the sight from our summer house.

Places of beauty III

Places of beauty II

Places of beauty I

Silverwind Refuge - my second home

I am really a person who likes the sea. The free open space is really relieving for my soul. But on the other hand I like the woods (exactly as Vilda does). So I wasn't surprised that when I came to Silverwind it felt as I had come home. We just stod there for a while, together, not speaking or anything. Just taking it in. She is a Norwegian Forest Cat. That explains it all. A trip for an hour in the wood doesn't really bcome her. She was most of the time just a few steps ahead of us. When the brushes became to thick she stayed a little, gave up a meow and was on it again. That was quite a trip.
